The long school holidays which will begin in mid November 1999 will not be fruitless for students who know how to utilize them.

The Kuching Buddhist Society has initiated an event during the school holidays. Called 'Hearts On' Buddhist Youth Camp, it will be held from 16th to 19th December 1999 at the Kuching Buddhist Society's temple.

In this camp, 'Hearts On' will bring together participants from the length and breadth of Sarawak to strengthen Buddhist fellowship and to broaden the outlook and horizons of young Buddhists today.

The camp also targets self-development of participants who will engage and interact in fun activities that heighten their awareness of serving oneself and others, being caring and grateful leading to self-understanding and self-motivation so as to face challenges of the next millennium. There will be a series of Dhamma talks and practices of loving kindness led by Venerable Sampanno of Perak inspiring one to incorporate a spiritual aspect into our daily devotion and lives.

Motivational talks on social communication skills by Mr. Mitra Chong. Grooming tips by Sister Teresa Wong will also be conducted to equip and energize teenagers with a 'cool attitude' (self-confidence and self-esteem) to handle the rest of the world.

There will also be games, 'grooming' a Tree of Love and a lot more fun awaiting you!
