Achievements:

Long Term

  1. Decided upon the objectives of the club.
  2. Drawn out a more organized structure of the club.
  3. Created the club's membership form.
  4. Commemorate members' birthdays by presenting birthday cards.
  5. Compiled a Guide Book of SJS's Dharma Club.
  6. Purchased a club stamp/chop.
  7. Opened e-mail accounts for the club (sjs-dc@buddhist.com).

Short Term

  1. Organized a One-Day Camp cum Interschool meeting on 25th May 1999.
  2. Conducted Day of Prayer I and II of the school and also Prayer Sessions of the first Friday of the month.
  3. Sitting for the National Level Malaysian Buddhist Examination held on 31st August 1999 at KBS.

1999 / 2000 Session

  1. New e-mail accounts (sjs-dc@buddhist.com) is opened and replace all other existing e-mail accounts.
  2. New web site (http://sjs-dc.tripod.com) has been established and it is started by Bro. Sung Tin Chong.
  3. Join meeting with other Dharma Clubs at Kuching Tze-Yin Buddhist Orthodox Association.
  4. Join Sarawak's first Buddhist Camp "Hearts On" at Kuching Buddhist Society.
  5. Duty at Stadium Perpaduan (Dharma Talks by Venerable Master Chin Kung).
  6. New letterhead for the club.
  7. First join installation for the 2000 / 2001 session.
  8. Street procession during Wesak Day.
  9. Help Kuching Buddhist Society selling vegetable burgers during Wesak Day.
  10. Puja transparents, new VCDs and new cassettes for Prayer Sessions and Prayer Days.

If any question has to be considered, it has to be considered peacefully and democratically in the way taught by the Buddha.
